About Us

Dr. Gensler is celebrating 30 years of service, specializing in gentle-low force chiropractic. He received training from Dr. Richard Van Rumpt, the founder of Directional Non-Force Technique. Dr. Gensler was honored by Dr. Van Rumpt to write his memorial for the chiropractic journals. --READ MEMORIAL--

Dr. Gensler's gentle treatment methods are effective for all ages including pregnant women, infants and children, and seniors.

Dr. Gensler obtained a Master's of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School before studying chiropractic. Dr. Gensler was initially attracted to chiropractic because of its healing philosophy. Chiropractic teaches that healing occurs from the inside out and that the body is better able to heal itself when the spine is in proper alignment and the nervous system is able to express itself without interference. Dr. Gensler's strong philosophical background brings more to his relationship with his patients.

Dr. Gensler's gentle approach is a perfect compliment to the style of yoga that his business partner and wife, Marysia teaches at the in-office Yoga Studio. Marysia Gensler received her yoga certification in the Iyengar method and studies with the renowned teachers, Patricia Walden and Peentz Dubble. --read testimonial here--

Chestnut Hill Chiropractic began in 1981 in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, offering chiropractic and yoga. The vision of the practice grew to include physical therapy, massage and nutrition. In 2007 we moved to Wells Avenue in Newton. We have created a beautiful and healthy environment. Dr. Gensler is a classical guitarist and he has edited a unique blend of classical, jazz and folk music which plays at the Office.

We are fortunate to work with Dolly Koumarianos as our chiropractic assistant. Dolly is professional, friendly and kind.

Dr. Gensler gives lectures outside the office on such topics as:  Chiropractic, Arthritis, ADHD, (attention deficit hyperactive disorder) Fybromyalgia, and Nutritional cleansing.
